Through My Eyes

I love you for all the beautiful things you are: your face, your voice, your smile, your laugh, your fascinating mind, your kind heart; but the flaws, the scars, the chinks in the armor that you don't try to hide... I love you more for all of them.

Damaged? No. You are lovely like the night sky; though sometimes dark and overcast,  it holds the promise of stars, comets, asteroids, galaxies, and breathtaking things beyond.

Imperfect? Isn't everything? But do thunderclouds make the sky less majestic? Are the drops of an early morning rain, though cold and heavy any less magical? Each one that falls from heaven and kisses the faces of those who dare look up is spellbinding... as you are.

Broken? Aren't we all? A perfect snowflake, one of a kind and enchanting, breaks as it caresses the ground; but does that make it any less mesmerizing? And the ones that shatter into pieces as they touch and linger on eyelashes, slowly transformed into but a drop; are they any less captivating?

You are precious.

Wanted.

Loved.

If you could see yourself through my eyes, you will understand why I love you.

Delightful like rain, dreamy like snow.
