Truth trapped in a dam of isolation
Puddles of lies strewn on silt
A gulf widened by withheld affirmation
A chasm concealed by guilt

Streams of disquiet with each conversation
Buoyed by a shroud of indifference
Ardor floats on hope and explanation
Sink at the silence of ignorance

Deep waters plead for translation
Where words are drowned by sediment
The shallows may be a picture of sedation
