A Mother Is A Mother

At tonight's evangelistic service, Ptr. Carter talked about his mother and how she, during the last days of her life, opened her heart to God. He talked about how she suffered from Lou Gehrig's disease and how he made a habit of sending her videos of his sermons to give her daily encouragements.

On one of his visits to her house, he found her sitting in her favorite chair with the remote control in her hand, and with all the strength that she could muster she said, "Carter, your sermon about Moses..."

Ptr. Carter strained to hear her because her mother already had a hard time talking due to her breathing problems. When he caught the word Moses he instantly knew what she was referring to and was excited to hear about how her mother was uplifted by that message. Instead she said, "I was watching the video and you took your glasses off and put them on 41 times. Either you keep 'em on or keep 'em off. Make up your mind!"

HAHAHA! Your mother will always be your mother no matter who you've become and what you've accomplished.

Mothers, yours is a thankless job, but it's a job no one can do better than you. Happy Mother's Day!

A note to my Mams: I love you!
