White Washed Tombs

Seriously, I have had it with Christians being so judgmental. For the last time, I don’t live by your standards.

Just because I don’t post Bible verses or talk like a street evangelist, it doesn’t mean I have backslidden. Trust me, I have been in that position and this is not it.

Just because I listen to music you don’t like, watch movies you don’t approve of, or read books that were not written by Max Lucado, it doesn’t mean I have forsaken Christ’s teachings. Like you, His word is my daily bread.

Just because you don’t hear me talk about what charity I support or whether I volunteer in church, doesn’t mean I’m not doing what I can for my fellowmen. The right hand doesn’t need to know what the left hand is doing.

I did not choose to be a Christian because I am a good person with a good heart. I am a Christian because when I was down in the dumps, questioning, doubting, mired in sin, Jesus found me. And loved(s) me, warts and all.

And He loves you too, judgments and all.

More bridges, less walls. Please.
